THE HOLE

The Hole is a powerful and highly technical reef break located in the southern Mentawai Islands near the Pagai region. Known for its deep-water takeoff and heavy, hollow sections, The Hole can produce long, fast walls and impressive barrel opportunities when the swell and wind align.

The wave breaks over a shallow coral reef and is best suited to experienced surfers comfortable in challenging conditions. Less crowded than many of the Mentawai's marquee breaks, The Hole offers adventurous surfers the chance to score high-quality waves in a remote and spectacular tropical setting.
